Terms & Conditions

These terms set the conditions for using Shelby County Busted Mugshots. If you do not accept them, do not use this service. The service is a private records-reference resource and is not an official source for current custody, a court ruling, or an agency decision.

Shelby County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with Shelby County, the Sheriff, any jail, Missouri corrections, or another government body. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency, and neither this service nor its advertising partners provides FCRA-covered reports or services.

Nature of the service

This service provides references to public offices and publicly available tools, including the Shelby County contact site, official Missouri court resources, and records-request information. It does not store official jail, booking, or court records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file material with an agency.

Acceptable use

You must use the service lawfully and with respect for other people’s rights. Do not use it to harm, harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or invade privacy. Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, copy data by automated means, or bypass technical controls.

  • Follow applicable law and the terms of every destination website.
  • Do not submit false, misleading, or malicious information.
  • Do not use automated scraping, bots, or interference with site functions.
  • Do not treat an arrest or booking reference as proof of guilt.

FCRA restrictions

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Its content, linked sources, and partner tools may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, licensing, government benefits, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. You agree not to seek or use information from this service for those purposes.

External links and tools

Links can point to government portals, legal resources, records contacts, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement, warranty, or control over that destination’s data, uptime, privacy practices, results, or pricing. Review each destination’s current terms. Missouri public-record procedures, including Section 610.023, are administered by the responsible public body, not this service.

No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise accuracy, completeness, currency, uninterrupted availability, security, or that a search partner or linked source will return a particular result. Custody status, contact details, public-record availability, and court information can change without notice.

Liability limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service and its owners are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service, a link, a search tool, or any information supplied by a third party or public office.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the service, its owners, and its providers harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Ownership

Unless a source says otherwise, the service’s text, design, logos, code, and other original material belong to Shelby County Busted Mugshots or its content providers. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reuse that material without written permission, except where law permits.

Changes and access

We may revise these terms or restrict access to the service at any time, with or without notice. Revised terms take effect when posted. Access may be limited or ended for any reason, including suspected misuse.

Missouri law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, and disputes must be brought in courts within Missouri where permitted. If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the affected provision will be adjusted only as necessary.

Questions about terms

Questions about these terms may be directed to the Contact Us page. Questions about a public record, custody, a charge, or a court outcome belong with the originating public office.
